ACS Wins Outsourcing Project Extension
Affiliated Computer Services Inc. has won a three-year, $4 million business process outsourcing contract extension from the city of Orange, Calif.
Affiliated Computer Services Inc. has won a three-year, $4 million business process outsourcing contract extension from the city of Orange, Calif., the company announced Dec. 3.
Under the contract, Dallas-based ACS will continue to provide the management and operation of the city's information services department, the company said. ACS is responsible for maintenance and operation of all software, hardware, networks, backups and data storage.
The company inherited the contract from Systems and Computer Technology Corp. of Malvern, Pa., when it purchased the company's government unit in July.
ACS has 33 local government outsourcing contracts in the United States. ACS State and Local Solutions Group has more than 230 public-sector clients located throughout the United States, Canada, Australia and the United Kingdom.
The company focuses on providing technology solutions for an array of public policy problems, including welfare dependency, traffic congestion, red-light running and nonpayment of child support.
