IBM Corp., Armonk, N.Y., and electronic imaging systems provider Agfa-Gevaert N.V., Mortsel, Belgium, have each been given a green light to provide up to $250 million of imaging network products and services to defense hospitals and federal medical treatment facilities, the Defense Logistics Agency announced Nov. 20.
The contract was let by DLA's Defense Supply Center in Philadelphia. Five companies responded to DLA's solicitation for the work.

A network of DIN-PAC systems are expected to eliminate film-based radiology and allow multiple users to access images at any place and anytime.
The contract schedules offer opportunities in specific site installations, general site configurations, integration services, maintenance, training as well as for hardware procurement of workstations, monitors, software, network devices, storage solutions, teleconferencing solutions, dry film processors, chairs and carts.
