ACS Cures Oregon Medical Assistance Woes
Affiliated Computer Services won a $4.9 million contract with the Oregon Department of Human Resources for a decision support system and data warehouse.
Affiliated Computer Services Inc. has won a five-year, $4.9 million contract with the Oregon Department of Human Resources for the design and implementation of a decision support system and supporting data warehouse, the company said Nov. 12.
Under the contract, Dallas-based ACS will be responsible for the design, development, implementation and maintenance of a data warehouse system that will provide the framework for decision support, comparative analysis and reporting for the department's Office of Medical Assistance Programs.
ACS also will provide training on the Decision Support/Surveillance and Utilization Review System for the medical office's staff, said the company.
The decision support system will enable the Oregon Department of Human Resources to implement the technology and business processes to manage an infrastructure that processes more than 7.5 million claim records each year, said department officials.
ACS serves the retail, health care, telecommunications and government sectors with infrastructure technology outsourcing, business processing outsourcing and professional services.
