Syscom Wins 3 Statewide E-Procurement Contracts
Syscom Inc. has signed contracts with Texas, Maine and Idaho to provide online buying through the company's e-procurement solution.
Syscom Inc. has signed contracts with three states to provide online buying through the company's e-procurement solution, the company announced Oct. 25.
The contracts mark the first statewide rollouts for the company's e-procurement solution, known as PublicBuy.Net, which has previously been used only by local governments.
The contracts were signed with the Idaho Division of Purchasing, the Maine Division of Purchases and the Texas General Services Commission. All three states selected the bid and response module, which manages the bidding process online, and the electronic catalog module, a customized Internet shopping service based on public agencies' vendor contracts.
More than 1,000 state and local government employees with Internet access are expected to use the system in each state, the company said. In Texas, the number of users is expected to reach 5,000 when the system is fully implemented.
Syscom of Baltimore is a provider of information technology services, including systems integration, development and consulting; workflow and content management; and e-business transformation solutions. The privately held company has 200 employees.
