CSC Wins $145 Million Army Simulation Deal

Computer Sciences Corp. of El Segundo, Calif., has been awarded a task order from the Army Aviation and Missile Command to support simulation and development of missile and aviation systems at Redstone Arsenal, Ala., the company announced Sept. 5.

The task order is worth $145.8 million if all options are exercised over a five-year period.

CSC will provide simulations, modeling and associated engineering support services for missile and aviation systems. CSC's work will involve live, virtual and constructive simulations for real-time and non real-time applications, including virtual prototyping and virtual battlefield environments.

The task order also calls for vulnerability and lethality analyses of aviation systems and associated hardware.

CSC will work at Redstone Arsenal with support from its offices in Huntsville, Ala. Members of the CSC team include Simulation Technology Inc., Quality Research Inc. and CG2 Inc.

The Systems Simulation and Development Directorate is a large part of the Amcom Research, Development and Engineering Center. The directorate develops, uses and maintains high-fidelity simulations to support the Army's acquisition, requirements, training and related activities.
