10 Companies Compete for $3 Billion Pie

Ten companies have won a chance to compete for a piece of the $3 billion Air Force Training Systems Acquisition II contract.


Under the 15-year contract, the companies will compete for task orders to design, build, install and support a wide range of air crew, maintenance and system specific training systems.


The winning companies are: Sytronics Inc., AAI Engineering Support Inc., the Boeing Co., CAE USA Inc., ECC International, Flight Safety Services Corp., Karta Technologies Inc., L-3 Communications Corp., LB&B Associates Inc., and Lockheed Martin Corp.


Over the life of the TSA II program, contracts will be awarded to support training within the Air Force and its reserve and National Guard, and foreign military sales initiatives.

Under the initiative, orders may be awarded that call for development of training courseware, software, hardware and simulated visual and sensor systems. Orders may also be awarded for ongoing contractor logistics support for fielded training systems and equipment.
