Titan Corp. won a contract from the Navy's Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center for engineering, development, production and related technical support services for antenna components and related equipment.
The contract is worth up to $60.7 million over five years if all options are exercised.
"This award continues the momentum that Titan Systems has been experiencing in 2001," said Gene Ray, the company's chairman, president and chief executive officer. "We continue to bid on and win larger awards, which we believe is a result of our acquisition strategy for this business unit."
Titan, headquartered in San Diego, operates four core business units, three that develop and deploy communications and information technology solutions and services, especially in the government marketplace.
Its annual sales are approximately $1.1 billion. The company has 7,800 employees.
