PEC Solutions Nets Two DEA Deals Worth $75 Million

PEC Solutions Inc. has been awarded contracts for engineering and operational support services for the Drug Enforcement Administration's global intranet, the company announced July 16.


The agency's intranet, called "Firebird," delivers integrated administrative, intelligence and case management applications to law enforcement agents worldwide. PEC Solutions of Fairfax, Va., received a three-year, $47 million contract to migrate Firebird from a DEA-specific engineered solution to a maintainable, standardized infrastructure based on market standards.


PEC will provide standardization and stabilization engineering and integration support services, including requirement assessment, design, development, integration and high-level operational support.


In the second contract, a five-year, $28 million project, PEC will provide operational support to the DEA network, including enterprise operations and engineering support, program management, requirements assessment, design, development and operations.
