Tyler Division Lands Records Work

Eagle Computer Systems Inc., a division of Tyler Technologies Inc., has won contracts with two Pennsylvania counties to provide a recording system for government records, the Dallas-based Tyler announced May 21.

The contracts with Lehigh and Lancaster counties have a combined value of about $1.4 million, according to the company.

The contracts call for ECS to provide a Windows-based, integrated recording system along with related professional services and hardware. The system includes digital imaging, receipting and work-flow applications.

ECS also will install a server to provide remote access from the Internet to data and images in the two counties' systems.

The recording system will handle a variety of government records, including land records, Uniform Commercial Code filings, marriages and vital statistics.

ECS has similar contracts with Philadelphia and Beaver County, Pa. The four contracts amount to 15 percent of the state's recording volume, said Allen Stewart, president of Tyler's ECS division.

Tyler provides document management and information management systems to about 6,000 local governments in 49 states. The company has more than 1,200 employees and had $93.2 million in sales in fiscal 2000, according to Hoover's Online of Austin, Texas.
