The Bureau of Enforcement in the Mississippi State Tax Commission's Office of Alcoholic Beverage Control is seeking a vendor to develop a design for a customized system to track, organize and manage investigations. A request for proposals for phase 1 has been released, and an RFP for phase 2 may be released in late 2001.

Software development is required to provide the following: case management, inventory tracking, simple expense accounting, a training component, capture and maintenance of personnel information, work-flow management, time reporting, digital imaging, document scanning and standard and ad hoc reporting.

The Nevada Department of Transportation is planning to release an RFP seeking a vendor to assist with the design of the Multimodal Events Management Operations System for NDOT and the city of North Las Vegas. The RFP is expected in early 2002. NDOT develops a statewide transportation improvement program each year.

The Minnesota Department of Human Services' Health Care Operations Division, in collaboration with the Minnesota Department of Health, is considering developing a statewide immunization registry system. The RFP is expected in late 2001.

This is the second phase of a multiphase project. An RFP for Phase I, requirements analysis and system design, has already been released. The goal is to establish a statewide immunization registry based on the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services' Health Care Financing Administration requirements and the Centers for Disease Control national standards. The system must be a logical component of Minnesota's Medicaid Management Information System mainframe system.

The Binghamton, N.Y., Metropolitan Transportation Study, a metropolitan planning organization, on behalf of the New York State Department of Transportation may issue an RFP for services to implement a transportation technology strategy and action plan. The RFP is expected in mid-2001.

Efforts across New York to use intelligent transportation systems, geographic information systems and satellite imagery have led to the application of technologies and data collection possibilities that have not existed before. The project's goal is to improve the information available to New York state metropolitan planning organizations and state department of transportation for planning, project development and investment decision-making. The project wants a strategy and short-term action plan to capitalize on the benefits of transportation and data collection and management technologies.
