General Dynamics Taps Dahlberg to Lead IT Group

General Dynamics Corp. has named Kenneth Dahlberg executive vice president in charge of the company's information systems and technology group.
General Dynamics Corp., Falls Church, Va., has named Kenneth Dahlberg executive vice president in charge of the company's information systems and technology group.
Dahlberg will report to Nicholas Chabraja, chairman and chief executive officer of General Dynamics. Dahlberg replaces Gordon England, who retired.
Dahlberg formerly was executive vice president for business development at Raytheon Co., Lexington, Mass., and president of the Raytheon International Inc. subsidiary. He oversaw international and domestic business development and government relations.
"Ken Dahlberg understands the information technology industry and has demonstrated his ability to lead companies into new markets and opportunities," Chabraja said.
Dahlberg also will be part of General Dynamics senior management team.
The information systems and technology group provides defense and commercial customers with infrastructure and systems integration skills needed to process, communication and management information. The group has more than 11,000 employees.
Overall, General Dynamics has 46,000 people and expects to have revenue of $11.5 billion in 2001.
