EDS Wins Ontario Network Deal
The Canadian division of Electronic Data Systems Corp. of Plano, Texas, has won a $138 million contract with the government of Ontario to provide network services.
The Canadian division of Electronic Data Systems Corp. of Plano, Texas, has won a $138 million contract with the government of Ontario to provide network services. The contract includes a top-to-bottom redesign and management of the network.
The award was announced Feb. 26 with several other wins by EDS. These include a $475 million contract with Blue Shield of California to provide mainframe processing, data storage, applications management, imaging, networking, desktop and computer management services.
The electronic brokerage service EBS awarded a $62 million contract to EDS to support its global network infrastructure. And clothing retailer J.Crew awarded a $40 million contract for data center, desktop, network and other services.
