Cofoni Succeeds Cooper at CSC

Cofoni was president of CSC's commercial outsourcing arm, the Technology Management Group. He will report to Van Honeycutt, chairman, president and chief executive officer.
Cooper, president of the federal sector since 1992, will retire at the end of May. Before joining El Segundo, Calif.-based CSC in 1984 as vice president of program development, he served in various business and management positions with IBM, Telex and Raytheon corporations.
Cofoni joined CSC in 1991 after 17 years with General Dynamics Corp., Falls Church, Va. As president of TMG, Cofoni oversaw operations that doubled CSC's commercial outsourcing revenue in the Americas. Major clients included United Technologies Corp. and Nortel Networks Corp., the company said.
CSC's federal business had $2.4 billion in revenue for fiscal year 2000, which ended March 31, 2000.
