CSC Wins $144 Million Task Order

Computer Sciences Corp. of El Segundo, Calif., won a NASA task order to support its Center for Computational Sciences at Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, Md., the company announced Jan. 16. The task order is worth up to $144 million over six and one-half years.

The Center for Computational Sciences provides computing resources and support services that help space and Earth scientists funded by NASA in their research. More than 700 Earth and space scientists are involved in nearly 200 research projects at the center.

Systems integrator CSC will install and manage supercomputer systems and provide systems programming and software engineering at the center. Its High Performance Center of Excellence will perform the work, which was awarded under the General Services Administration's Millennia contract.

Millennia is a $25 billion vehicle awarded to 12 companies used by agencies looking to field large IT projects quickly.

CSC has more than 30 years of experience working with NASA.
