Integrators Vying for Pennsylvania Award
Three companies have been selected as finalists in the competition to provide systems integration for an enterprise resource planning system for the state of Pennsylvania.
Three companies have been selected as finalists in the competition to provide systems integration for an enterprise resource planning system for the state of Pennsylvania, said Thomas Paese, state secretary of administration.
The finalists are Andersen Consulting; Deloitte Consulting of New York; and KPMG Consulting of McLean, Va., Paese said, after making a presentation Dec. 7 at a symposium by SAP Public Sector and Education Inc. of Washington.
In June, SAP won a $51.8 million contract from Pennsylvania for its ERP software suite.
The winning vendor will integrate the SAP product with Pennsylvania's accounting, budget, payroll, personnel and purchasing functions over a three-to-five year period.
The bids of the finalists are being evaluated, and the amount of the award will depend on which bid is selected, Paese said.
Although the decision was originally expected to be made in early 2001, it may happen in as soon as two or three weeks, he said.
