Wang Government Services Changes Name

NOV. 16 ? Wang Government Services Inc. changed the company name to Getronics Government Solutions LLC, McLean, Va. and will continue to operate as an independent company with U.S. management and an independent board of directors.


"By changing the company name to Getronics Government Solutions, we are now more closely aligned with Getronics NV, our parent company, and will be able to better leverage the technical and professional capabilities within the Getronics worldwide organization," said C. Harlan Johnston, president and chief executive officer of Getronics Government Solutions.


In 1999, Getronics NV, an information technology company, headquartered in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, acquired Wang Global. Getronics Government Solutions' customers include the departments of Defense, Justice, State and Treasury, NASA, Immigration and Naturalization Service, Federal Deposit Insurance Corp. and the U.S. Postal Service.
