Nov. 17 - Hansen Information Technologies Inc. won a contract to provide Seattle with a permit and land management system, the company announced Nov. 16.
The contract is worth just under $2 million, said Sam Kurle, information technology manager for Seattle's Department of Design, Construction and Land Use.
Sacramento, Calif.-based Hansen will provide the department with land management, customer service and call center solutions along with a Web-based component for online transaction processing.
Agency employees also will use the Hansen system to process more than 25,000 annual permit applications, 65,000 inspections and track almost 5,000 code enforcement cases annually.
The implementation will take about 15 months and will include data conversion, system installation, and project management and training, company officials said.
