Grant Thornton, TranSenda Strike E-Gov Pact

NOV. 6 ? TranSenda International LLC of Redmond, Wash., formed a partnership with Grant Thornton LLP of Chicago to help government agencies bring forms and transaction processing online.


"One of the greatest ways for companies and government agencies to improve efficiency and save money is to process internal and external documents online," said Ed Borey, president and chief executive officer of TranSenda, which provides electronic form processing solutions for businesses and government agencies. The partnership was announced Nov. 3.


The company's relationship with consulting firm Grant Thornton will "provide their clients with a fast, complete and cost-effective means for moving smoothly from paper-based transactions to digital transactions," Borey said.


Through its Washington-based Global Government Group consulting practice, Grant Thornton delivers business, financial and information technology consulting solutions to federal, state and local governments and foreign governments. Grant Thornton will use TranSenda's software to help its clients move quickly to online transaction processing.


"TranSenda brings a product that will accelerate our government consulting practice into the e-government marketplace. This is a very important initiative for both of us," said Al Pesachowitz, director of IT consulting for Grant Thornton's Global Government Group.


TranSenda Central can process multiple transactions simultaneously and eliminates manual paper-based processes, saving time and money and increasing the speed at which products can get to markets, TranSenda officials said.
