An Intelligent Choice: Litton-TASC Wins Agency Work

OCT. 11 ? Litton-TASC Inc. of Chantilly, Va., has landed a $170 million, five-year contract to provide systems engineering and technical assistance to an intelligence agency. The name of agency was not disclosed.


"This is a major, competitive win for us," said James Frey, president of TASC. "We've been a trusted partner to the intelligence community for decades and are continuing to help them evolve with new technologies, processes and information systems to perform their vital and demanding missions."


TASC will provide end-to-end system engineering, integration and program management assistance for an array of enterprise, plus land- and space-based communication systems used by the federal government.


"Using our 'Integrated Systems Management' approach, TASC blends technical requirements into a client's project plan, along with realistic cost and schedule milestones. This means that systems are delivered on time and within budget, while clients benefit as well from Web-based tools that allow all system stakeholders to collaborate," Frey said.


The TASC team includes Advent Systems Inc., Arion Systems Inc., Booz-Allen Hamilton Inc., Creative Technology Inc., Exigent Software Technology Inc., ITT Industries Inc., McDonald Bradley, NetSpace Corp., Raytheon Co., Robbins-Gioia Inc., TICOM, Vaxcom Services, Inc., SRI International Inc. and Computer Sciences Corp.
