SEPT. 27 ? Tier Technologies Inc.'s government services division this week announced that it had been awarded three new contracts to provide e-government and information technology services in California, Missouri and the Australian state of Victoria.
Tier's latest wins are:
*An award last week from the state of California selecting Tier as a prequalified bidder for electronic government and electronic commerce projects. The state plans to send out requests for proposals and receive responses electronically from Tier and other companies identified as qualified bidders in a preliminary screening process. The initiative was launched to streamline the process for state agencies to procure e-commerce services.
*A one-year Financial Institution Data Match contract from the state of Missouri, announced in mid-September. The FIDM program requires financial institutions within the state to conduct a quarterly electronic match to identify and locate the assets of account holders who are delinquent on child support payments. All 50 states are required to adopt a FIDM program over next few years.
*A contract, awarded in August, from the Department of Infrastructure in the State of Victoria, Australia. The Department of Infrastructure is similar to the U.S. Transportation Department.
The Victoria government selected Tier to provide support of an application developed to manage the licensing of transportation operators, such as bus drivers and train operators, company officials said.
The company would not disclose the
financial terms of the three contracts.
Tier, headquartered in Walnut Creek, Calif., offers consulting, application development, software engineering services, systems and technology training, business process outsourcing and service centers.
