SAIC-Led Team Wins Air Force IT Services Agreement

AUG. 25 ? A team led by Science Applications International Corp. has won a blanket purchase agreement to provide expanded IT services to the Air Force Materiel Command.


The services that will be acquired include software development, updating technical services, legacy systems maintenance, systems security engineering and systems engineering and integration.


The contract with the Central Design Activity Technical Services has an unlimited ceiling over a period of five years, with up to three additional annual extensions based on performance.


San Diego-based SAIC's team consists of Advanced Management Technology Inc., Arlington, Va.; Advanced Technology Systems, McLean, Va.; Booz-Allen & Hamilton Inc., McLean; CDO Technologies Inc., Dayton, Ohio; GlobeTech Exchange, Beavercreek, Ohio; Northern NEF, Colorado Springs, Colo.; PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, New York; and SenCom Corp., Bedford, Mass.


"We believe that this expanded relationship with AFMC will allow the SAIC team to work in partnership to address the complex system needs of the CDA clients," said Jim Cuff, senior vice president in SAIC's engineering, logistics and information systems group.


The team will provide information technology services to support the CDA, which is responsible for modernizing and maintaining over 200 logistics, financial and program management systems that support the Air Force Materiel Command and other Department of Defense activities.


The CDA includes the Materiel Systems Group at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Dayton, Ohio, the Standard Systems Group at Gunter Air Force Base in Ogden, Utah, and Tinker Air Force Base in Oklahoma City.
