AUG. 10 ? CACI International Inc., appointed Robert Donovan Aug. 10 as executive vice president and director of federal business development to enhance its growth in the e-government, intelligence and network services and information assurance markets.

Donovan is replacing Donnie Blanks, who left in the last month to pursue other interests.

Before joining CACI, Donovan worked for Data General Corp., where he was general manager of the federal division and was responsible for its federal government business sector. He was vice president of federal operations at Tracor Inc., now part of BAE Systems, and was director of intelligence programs. Donovan also worked for Unisys Corp. for 12 years.

"We have an ambitious growth program at CACI, and Robert Donovan's appointment significantly furthers our ability to achieve our program goals," said Ken Johnson, CACI president.

CACI, an information technology company in Arlington, Va., plans to focus on its merger and acquisition activities, enhancing core technology offerings and stepping up business development activities, company officials said.

Donovan's federal technology and business expertise adds strength to CACI's strategic growth plans, which include expanding its already significant federal government presence, CACI officials said.

The company already offers the federal government e-business and network solutions. Its federal clients include the Air Force Materiel Command in Dayton, Ohio, the Army Communications-Electronic Command in Fort Monmouth, N.J., and federal agencies including the departments of Commerce, Justice and Treasury.
