Tyler Launches InSite Local Government Portal

APRIL 27 ? Tyler Technologies Inc. of Dallas kicked off its InSite local government Web portal product, which allows local governments to establish and maintain an interactive presence on the Web.



The portal allows the public direct access to city governments via the Internet to: pay traffic and parking tickets via credit card or online checks; access utility billing records, including transaction payment history and historical consumption information; pay utility bills; request city services; and receive timely city government information.



InSite said its product provides an easy way for non-technical local government staff to publish and update timely content to the Web without the need for specialized programming skills, through the use of an extensive array of back-end tools and formatting capabilities.



"We will continue to enhance InSite, which will soon also provide local governments with e-solutions for business licenses, building permits, code enforcement and citizen complaint management activities," said John Yeaman, Tyler's president.



Tyler, a provider of Internet-based e-government and back-end information management solutions to local governments, has a customer base comprising more than 5,000 local government offices in 49 states, Canada and Puerto Rico.
