Infrastructure Defense Inc., an intelligence and risk management company in Alexandria, Va., acquired HomeCom Internet Security Services, a division of Atlanta-based HomeCom Communications Inc.

iDefense said HomeCom will transfer its security division and all contracts to iDefense in exchange for common stock and equity. They did not reveal the terms of the purchase.

iDefense pulls about 30 percent of its business from the public sector, a company spokesman said.
General Dynamics Corp., Falls Church, Va., realigned its senior management responsibilities in response to the retirement of Michael Wynne, senior vice president. Wynne was responsible for the company's international, planning and development activities.

Gordon England, executive vice president, will lead the company's international development activities and head the Information Systems and Technology group. He will turn over responsibility for the Combat System group to Arthur Veitch, who will become a senior vice president. Veitch, who was previously a corporation vice president and president of the General Dynamics Land Systems, will be succeeded by Charles Hall.
Advanced Communication Systems Inc., Fairfax, Va., acquired all outstanding shares of Charlottesville, Va.-based Program Associations Inc. for $2.5 million in cash and additional payments upon achievement of certain financial goals in the next 16 months.

ACS provides communication, information systems and avionics services to government and commercial customers. PSA develops, installs and supports online, real-time financial management information systems for the Department of Defense.

George Robinson, president and chief executive officer of ACS, said that company officials expect to retain PSA's management team.
