DynCorp Management Resources LLC, the state business division of Reston, Va.-based DynCorp, was selected to provide project management services to the New Mexico Department of Health for its Integrated Network for Public Health Officials Records Management system. The contract is worth $1.3 million and continues through June 2000.

Under the contract, DynCorp Management Resources will be responsible for ensuring coordination between the health department and contractors supporting the statewide introduction of a health management software product.

The company also will guide contractor efforts by providing data conversion, interface and system testing, phasing-in and training for New Mexico state employees.
Unisys Corp., Blue Bell, Pa., won a follow-on contract from the Kentucky Department of Medicaid Services to operate and maintain the commonwealth's Medicaid Management Information System. The contract is worth about $117 million over the six-year life of the program.

Unisys manages the commonwealth's fee-for-service Medicaid claims processing functions and provides automated and reporting support for the Managed Care Program. The company also provides prior authorization, provider relations, systems modification and maintenance, online point-of-sales systems and pharmacy benefits management services to Kentucky's Medicaid recipients.

Under the new contract, Unisys will continue providing these services as well as enhancements, such as operating the provider enrollment department and supporting the state's fraud and abuse investigative activities. Unisys has been the incumbent contractor on the project since 1995.
Zmax Corp., Germantown, Md., won contracts to provide year 2000 independent verification and validation consulting and remediation services to Kentucky, Maryland, New Jersey and Pennsylvania. The combined value, if follow-on options are exercised, is $1.7 million. In June, the company won a $2.9 million contract with New York for similar services.

Zmax Corp. is an information technology consulting firm, specializing in enterprise resource planning implementation, client-server development, e-business and year 2000 software and services.
BTG Inc., Fairfax, Va., won a contract to develop a management information system for the Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation.

The one-year contract, which will be carried out by BTG's Oklahoma City operation, is valued at $800,000. The wildlife conservation department will use the system to collect and track information about hunting and fishing licenses, as well as other data related to wildlife in Oklahoma.
