Analysis & Technology Inc. of North Stonington, Conn., won a contract with the Naval Undersea Warfare Center Division Newport for systems engineering support for submarine communications systems.

This multi-award, indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity contract is worth $15.5 million to Analysis & Technology if all options are exercised during a five-year period. One other firm, Sonalysts of Waterford, Conn., also was awarded a prime contract.

Analysis & Technology and its subcontractors will provide concepts analysis, operations research, system analysis, test and evaluation and engineering support on a broad range of command, control, communications, computers and intelligence (C4I) systems. System engineering will emphasize use of commercial, off-the-shelf components for both communication and electromagnetic systems to create the most cost-effective solutions possible and to speed system improvements to the fleet.
Northrop Grumman Corp.'s Logicon Inc. subsidiary in Herndon, Va., won a contract potentially worth $280 million to continue its enterprise technology analysis and support for the Defense Department's Military Health System.

Under the D/SIDDOMS (Defense Medical Information System/Systems Integration, Design, Development, Operation, Maintenance and Support) program, Northrop Grumman will perform tasks it has handled since the program's inception in 1995. The indefinite delivery, indefinite quantity contract has a one-year base period and four option years. GRC International of Vienna, Va., won a $27 million, five-year contract from the Navy Program Executive Office to provide on-site support services to the special missions department.

The work centers on aircraft systems integration engineering, engineering development, test and evaluation of systems and components, as well as management, acquisition and logistics support.

GRC leads a team that includes QuesTech Services Company Inc. and Innolog Inc.
The Arlington, Va., office of Pro-2-Serve Professional Project Services Inc. won a contract from the Department of Agriculture's Forest Service that could potentially be worth up to $3.75 million.

Under the contract, Pro-2-Serve will provide fire planning modeling and computer system development services for the Forest Service and other government agencies.

The award to Pro-2-Serve will allow the Agriculture Department to automate work processes it considers time-consuming and labor-intensive, such as planning, simulation and modeling, ecosystem function and design, analysis, database management and assessing fire management activities.

Other services include data migration and software conversions across platforms, fixing year 2000 compliance problems in existing software, software support services, classroom instruction and course development.

Science Applications International Corp. of San Diego and Pacific Meridian Resources of Emeryville, Calif., will serve as subcontractors.
