Major contracts/projects: | Verizon Business is providing the federal government with voice, data, wireless and Internet services under the GSA''s Networx Universal contract. The contract, worth $20 billion over 10 years, is the first of two Networx contracts awarded by GSA to modernize federal government communications. The U.S. Postal Service also extended its contract with Verizon Business on the Managed Network Services contract through March 2010. Through the contract, Verizon has established one of the world''s largest private networks for the Postal Service. Now the company manages it 365 days a year and supports many aspects of the Postal Service, from operations to administration. |
