Major contracts/projects: | On the IRS PRIME Modernization contract, GAITS network engineers designed a new architecture, which corrected weaknesses and improved performance of the backbone network. The new architecture implemented a clear hierarchical routing and switching network, which replaced the previous partial-meshed architecture in order to ensure efficient routing and diversity. The new design, which is now in place, has ensured all redundancy, diversity, and high availability requirements for filing season 2001 were met. GAITS Engineers successfully designed and installed over $15 million dollars in LAN/WAN and telecommunication equipment. |
