General Dynamics IT secures $330M in Army training awards
The company will help train 500,000 soldiers across Pacific and Airborne Corps missions by using advanced simulation environments.
General Dynamics IT continues to build its training business with two new Army awards worth up to $330 million combined.
Both awards are task orders under the Mission Training Complex Capabilities Support II vehicle, which the Army awarded in 2023 to 12 companies including GDIT.
Mission training complexes are locations where soldiers and their units receive simulation training ahead of deployment.
Under the first potential $180 million task order, GDIT will training soldiers across the U.S. Army Pacific mission training complexes over one base year and up to four individual option years.
The second task order is worth up to $150 million and involves support of the XVIII Airborne Corps. This work will take place over a five-year base period and a six-month options.
GDIT expects to train 500,000 soldiers in live, virtual and constructive environments under both orders. These will be immersive exercises that simulate complex scenarios to strengthen warfighting readiness, the company said.
GDIT will also deliver logistical and technical support to the Army.
“Advanced training capabilities are critical to maintaining warfighter superiority,” said Brian Sheridan, GDIT’s senior vice president for defense.
Other key training wins for GDIT include a $160 million task order with the III Armored Corps, the $1.7 billion Army Flight School Training contract and a $383 million Navy training award.
