ManTech creates civilian market advisory board

A group of former Homeland Security, Veterans Affairs and White House officials will provide advice to company leaders on the capabilities and support needed by clients.

ManTech International has stood up a civilian advisory board that is tasked with helping company leaders improve capabilities and support for clients.

This is the first advisory board the company has created to support its civilian business.

The group is chaired by Stephen Deitz, president of ManTech’s civilian business.

“Our board members are renowned for their strategic insights on the rapidly growing mission and technology needs of major federal civilian agencies,” Deitz said in a release Monday.

The advisory board includes former officials from the Homeland Security Department, Veterans Affairs Department, White House and FBI.

The members are:

  • Matthew Allen, former senior executive for the Homeland Security Investigations, a part of DHS.
     
  • Steven Cooper, the first chief information officer for DHS. He also served at the Commerce Department, Federal Aviation Administration and Red Cross.
     
  • James Gfrerer, former CIO for VA.
     
  • Cheryl Mason, former presidential appointee and chair of VA's Board of Veterans Appeals.
     
  • Robert Perez, former deputy commissioner for U.S. Customs and Border Protection.
     
  • Maria Roat, former deputy federal CIO at the White House and Small Business Administration.
     
  • Joshua Skule, former FBI senior executive focused on federal law enforcement, cybersecurity, intelligence analysis, counter-intelligence, counter-terrorism and risk management.
