Maximus names new leader for federal tech efforts

Joe Jeter will lead technology strategy and approach efforts with agencies as a senior vice president.

Maximus has named a new senior vice president for federal technology to lead the company's solution strategy and implementations for agencies.

Joe Jeter joins the company after a career that includes stops at Verizon and Unisys Federal, as well as with private equity firms.

“Joe has proven himself as one of the true leaders in the federal technology space, in particular through his unique ability to identify and adopt emerging technologies that can deliver value and mission acceleration,” Teresa Weipert, general manager of federal services at Maximus, said in a release Wednesday.

During his career, Jeter led projects that included the creation of a cybersecurity organization with a global network of  operation centers.

He also developed the architecture for Armed Forces Radio and Television Networks streaming services and cloud-based platform for the Virginia Lottery.
