General Dynamics IT names new info security chief
The defense giant shifts over the CISO from one of its other business units.
General Dynamics IT has named Justin DePalmo as its chief information security officer with responsibilty for cybersecurity, including strategy, operations, implementation and compliance.
DePalmo previously was the CISO for the company's ordnance and tactical systems unit. He also has worked as a cybersecurity subject matter expert for GD’s internal audit program and is on the company’s cyber council.
Among his duties in his new position are training, vulnerability management, risk mitigation, incident response and cyber threat intelligence.
