CNSI forms deeper partnership with Amazon Web Services

CNSI is forming a deeper partnership with Amazon Web Services to develop more cloud-based solutions for Medicaid management information systems.

CNSI is formalizing an ongoing relationship with Amazon Web Services to deliver Medicaid management information systems via AWS’ cloud infrastructure.

CNSI says it is the first company to migrate a core MMIS system to AWS, which creates a cloud-native solution for states looking to accelerate deployment of MMIS products and solutions in that hosted environment.

Earlier this year, CNSI won a five-year extension of a contract it holds with Washington state where it successfully migrated its MMIS system to the cloud.

“CNSI’s mission is to help our clients improve the health and well-being of individuals and families through innovative and transformative technology-enabled solutions,” said Harish Nanda, chief technology officer for CNSI.

“This relationship with AWS allows us to leapfrog current technology constraints and provide our clients with solutions that could rapidly transform Medicaid administration, benefitting not only our clients, but also the people they serve.”

The Washington state project was the first to move a core MMIS system to the cloud, said Casey Burns, AWS health and human services leader.

The partnership with AWS will let CNSI build more cloud-based solutions and products to meet emerging trends as well as legislative and regulatory requirements, CNSI said in its announcement.
