Air Force developing 5-year software testing contract

The Air Force has started developing a contract to support the test infrastructure used to evaluate software developed inside its laboratories.

The Versatile Diagnostic Automatic Test Station is used by the Air Force software engineering group to test software and systems under development by the 402nd Software Engineering Group and 581st Software Engineering Squadron at Robins Air Force Base in Georgia.

Astronic Test Systems is the current contractor performing the work.

The Air Force is in the market research phase of developing the contract. It expects the new contract will be for five years and to be used for technical support and repair services on the stations.

Responses are due June 9.
