Raytheon adds former DOD, Air Force civilian exec

Raytheon Technologies hires a former Defense Department and Air Force civilian executive to the leadership team within the company's intelligence and space segment.

Raytheon Technologies has hired former Defense Department and Air Force civilian official Matt Donovan as a vice president of customer engagement and solutions for the company’s intelligence and space segment.

Donovan will join Raytheon on Aug. 23 and report directly to the intelligence and space segment’s president Roy Azevedo, the company said Tuesday.

Most recently, Donovan served as defense undersecretary for personnel and readiness and before that as acting air force secretary.

His career in federal service also includes undersecretary of the Air Force, senior staff positions on the Senate Armed Services Committee and other civilian roles in the Air Force.

Donovan also served in the Air Force for 31 years as both enlisted and officer active duty, after which he retired as a colonel.
