Navy continues payload development with award to SeaCorp

Systems Engineering Associates Corp. will continue to develop a data interface for the Navy payload and combat acquisition systems.

That $14.6 million contract is a Phase III award under the Small Business Innovation Research program.

Systems Engineering Associates Corp., also known as SeaCorp, will provide a demonstration of the technology it has developed under Phases I and II of the SBIR program. SeaCorp will provide architecture development, software development, software integration and testing as part of the demonstration.

The Navy wants software that better integrates payloads.

Most of the work will take place in Newport, Rhode Island, but with other work at New London, Connecticut; Middletown, Rhode Island; and San Jose, California.

Work is expected to be completed by May 2026.

The Phase III SBIR contract was not a competitive award.
