Comsovereign's board elects Kapoor

5G consortium Comsovereign is expanding its board of directors and adding a new member in Kay Kapoor, the former CEO of AT&T Public Sector and Accenture Federal Services.

Comsovereign, the consortium of companies focused on rolling out 5G connectivity in the U.S., will gain a new member on its board of directors in former AT&T public sector president Kay Kapoor.

Kapoor becomes the seventh director on Comsovereign’s board after a vote to expand the number of members from six to seven, the Dallas-based company said Monday. She will join the board upon the completion of a proposed stock offering first disclosed in August but awaiting further detail on the size, specs and timeline.

Prior to AT&T, Kapoor was CEO of Accenture’s subsidiary focused on the U.S. government and before that worked at Lockheed Martin for nearly two decades.

After leaving AT&T, she started her own advisory and consulting firm Arya Technologies that works with both federal agencies and other companies in the market.
