Regarding GSA Alliant 2 SB (A2SB) cancellation, I orignically applauded GSA's use of a transparent scoring system for evaluation purposes, It took more than a year of preparation at significant cost to ensure we maximized the available points. I have heard no acknowledgement from GSA regarding the resource, financial, and other opportunity costs incurred by small businesses. Moreover, I fully support GSA's goal of increased inclusivity, but one of the original goals of A2SB, supported by the evaluation criteria, was to provide the government with mature and highly capable small businesses -- this would naturally exclude companies. However, I don't believe throwing the baby out with the bath water and cancelling the procurement is the correct approach. There is nothing that prevents GSA from standing up a separate vehicle to address the issue of inclusivity. Lastly, how is it remotely fair that one of the most active GWAC's has been able to operate for more than 2 years without a small business track -- with no end in sight?
