Air Force keeps incumbent, adds 7 for new $1B biz transformation contract

The Air Force has chosen eight companies for a new potential seven-year, $990 million contract to support business transformation initiatives across the service branch.

Incumbent Booz Allen Hamilton will continue its role on the Air Force Strategic Transformation Support program alongside seven other newcomers. Awardees will bid for task orders to perform work through June 2027, the Pentagon said in its Wednesday awards digest.

New companies for this expanded contract are:

  • Accenture Federal Services
  • Boston Consulting Group’s federal subsidiary
  • Deloitte Consulting
  • Digital Mobilizations Inc.
  • Grant Thornton
  • KPMG
  • McKinsey & Co.

Work will specifically support the Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Air Force-Office of Business Transformation and Deputy Chief Management Officer in managing and improving strategic transformation initiatives at the enterprise level.

Deltek data indicates Booz Allen was first awarded this work in 2013 as a task order through the MOBIS contract vehicle that federal agencies use to acquire management and consulting services.

Task orders for this new iteration of the contract are being broken up into two tiers and bidders were required to declare which tier they sought selection for.

Tier one covers strategic advisory consulting services focuses on senior leaders and organizations' most high-value, high-risk and complex priorities for transformational change.

Tier two sees awardees support Air Force organizations through their efforts to transform business operations.
