Siemens' federal arm hires new CIO

Siemens Corp.’s U.S. federal government subsidiary has hired two-decade IT veteran Ankur Rawat as chief information officer.

Rawat will lead Siemens Government Technologies’ enterprise technology strategy with respect to resources and investment, plus alignment of the IT strategy with that of the overall business, according to a release Thursday.

He most recently was vice president and chief technology officer at Calibre Systems. Prior to that, Rawat was CTO at LongView International Technology Solutions.

His career also includes roles supporting the Defense Health Agency and Military Health System amid efforts to digitize military health records.
