SAIC names new HR lead

Science Applications International Corp. has promoted 10-year company veteran and current Human Resources Senior Vice President Michelle O’Hara to chief HR officer in a move effective Oct. 1.

O’Hara will succeed the retiring Karen Wheeler and report directly to CEO Nazzic Keene, the company said Tuesday.

Wheeler’s official retirement date is Dec. 1, through which she will stay with SAIC as it moves on the integration of Engility. She has been the company’s top HR executive since 2017 and with SAIC for 24 years.

Reston, Virginia-based SAIC has nearly 23,000 employees with 14,000 of them cleared personnel. SAIC's acquisition of Engility in January added nearly 7,500 employees.
