Leidos adds retired admiral, former DOD personnel exec

Leidos has hired retired Navy Rear Adm. Anthony Kurta as a strategic account executive in the company’s health group.

Kurta will focus on Leidos’ work in the area of health and human performance in his new role, the contractor said in a release Tuesday.

After retirement from the Navy, Kurta served as deputy assistant defense secretary for military personnel policy and performed the duties of undersecretary for personnel and readiness.

He is also a former director of Navy flag officer management and development.

Kurta served more than 32 years in the Navy as a surface warfare officer and also is a former commander of the Combined Joint Task Force for the Horn of Africa region.
