Attain adds BAE, Cubic vet McKinney

Attain has hired former BAE Systems Inc. and Cubic Corp. executive Michael McKinney as a managing director to lead the company’s defense business.

McKinney will particularly focus on digital transformation efforts with Defense Department clients “with services in advanced analytics, IT modernization and cybersecurity,” he said in a release Wednesday.

He more recently was an executive at Akima prior to his stints at BAE’s U.S. subsidiary and Cubic.

Before McKinney entered the private sector, he served in the Air Force for 26 years and also holds the distinction of being commander of the first operational unmanned aerial vehicle group.
