Sarcos adds execs to spur government growth

Sarcos Robotics makes a pair of executive hires to support the company’s push for growth in the government and industrial sectors.

Robotic technology firm Sarcos Robotics has made a pair of executive hires to support the company’s push for growth in the public safety and military sectors, as well as industrial customers.

In a release Tuesday, Sarcos said two-decade defense and energy industry veteran Tom Jackson has joined the company as vice president of the firm’s defense and public safety business.

Jackson most recently was vice president and general manager of the defense business at Aeryon, a small unmanned aircraft company FLIR Systems acquired earlier this year.

Sarcos’ U.S. government customers include the Air Force, Navy and Special Operations Command. The company provides them exoskeleton technologies for use in manipulating heavy items.’

The company said it also hired three-decade industrial sector veteran and former ABB executive Bill Keever as senior vice president of global sales.
