Cyber outfit Blue Ridge names Mirmira president

Cybersecurity company Blue Ridge Networks said Wednesday it has promoted Dr. Srini Mirmira to president.

Mirmira more recently was senior vice president of cybersecurity solutions for Blue Ridge and oversaw functions related to corporate strategy, partnerships and expansion efforts.

Chantilly, Virginia-based Blue Ridge cites Mirmira’s experience in commercializing new technologies, investment and financing for programs and companies, managing domestic and international programs and developing regulatory policies to create new markets.

Blue Ridge focuses on network access and endpoint security with customers in the U.S. government, financial, health care and other highly-regulated industries.

Prior to Blue Ridge, he was a consultant to Saudi Arabia’s energy ministry. His U.S. government career before that includes time as senior adviser for international affairs at the Energy Department and program director at the Advanced Research Projects Agency-Energy, DOE’s equivalent to DARPA.
