CenturyLink promotes Zain Ahmed

CenturyLink said Monday it has promoted Zain Ahmed to vice president and general manager of the telecommunications company’s federal civilian and law enforcement practice.

Ahmed’s team provides network, cloud computing, cybersecurity and IT mission support services with a focus on delivering those through the Enterprise Infrastructure Solutions and other government-wide contract vehicles.

He is a 15-year telecom industry veteran and joined CenturyLink through its merger with Level 3 Communications. His career also includes work as Verizon.
