Small business hires Salient, GD vet Chapman as president

Fairfax, Virginia-based small business 9th Way Solutions has hired former Salient CRGT and General Dynamics executive Melissa Chapman as company president.

9th Way said Monday that Chapman will lead the company’s effort to grow across its core areas of health care IT, enterprise services, cybersecurity, information security, systems and program management, and data analytics.

More recently, Chapman was briefly vice president of business development at Salient CRGT and before that led the health business in GD’s IT services division.

Her government service career also includes time as chief information officer for the Department of Health and Human Services.
