Lockheed names Mullins BD lead, shifts Hill

Lockheed Martin has appointed a new leader of business development for the entire corporation and the current executive in that role will move to a new post, all slated to take effect Oct. 8.

Robert Mullins, who joined Lockheed’s space business in March, will become senior vice president for corporate strategy and business development on that date. The company said Monday he will succeed Stephanie Hill, who will move into the role of deputy executive vice president for Lockheed’s rotary and mission systems segment.

Mullins more recently led Cobham’s corporate strategy and merger-and-acquisition functions prior to his appointment to Lockheed, where he currently leads strategy and business development for its space business.

In Hill’s new role, she will oversee the RMS segment’s lines of business that include Sikorsky; integrated warfare systems and sensors; training and logistics solutions; and “C6ISR” -- command, control, communications, computers, cyber, combat Systems, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance.

Hill was appointed to lead Lockheed’s overall corporate strategy and business development last year and prior to that oversaw cyber, ships and advanced technology offerings within the RMS segment.
