Govplace adds Micro Focus vet Hoffman as sales lead

Public sector IT reseller Govplace adds 28-year market veteran and former Micro Focus executive Steve Hoffman as vice president of sales.
Public sector IT reseller Govplace said Wednesday it has hired 28-year market veteran and former Micro Focus executive Steve Hoffman as vice president of sales.
Reston, Va.-based Govplace cited Hoffman’s background in finance and markets such as health care, civilian and homeland security in the release to announce his appointment. Hoffman will create and execute Govplace’s go-to-market strategy.
Prior to GovPlace, Hoffman was an area vice president at Micro Focus Government Solutions and Palo Alto Networks, where he led efforts to grow and expand federal business.
He also is a former Cisco federal executive, where he was vice president of the civilian and homeland security business practice.
