Ernst & Young receives $44M in Air Force audit work

Ernst & Young has received a potential 52-month, $44.2 million contract to help the Air Force audit the branch's general fund and working capital fund financial statements.

EY had the lone offer for the labor-hour contract, according to the Defense Department's Thursday contracts digest. The contract awarded by the Defense Finance and Accounting Service has a 16-month base period followed by up to three one-year options.

The professional services firm will also examine the Defense Enterprise Accounting and Management System under the contract.
